CARL THOMSEN

Carl Thomsen was born on the little island of Curaçao, the former Dutch colony in the Caribbean, and grew up whilst also being really close to Venezuela, Colombia, and only a two-hour flight from the U.S.A. It is here on this multicultural island that his love for photography started.

In the late 90’s, Carl arrived in Holland to commence training as a Maritime Officer but within a year his love for photography was drawing him away so he decided to divert his studies and enrolled at the Photographic Academy in Amsterdam instead.

Carl is currently studying photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
