In a recent interview with Damon Albarn he implied that BLUR would be re-uniting early next year for rehearsals. Originally forming in the late 80`s as SEYMOUR, the band changed their name to BLUR shortly after their encounter with INSPIRAL CARPETS at a gig in London, and they too became part of the Baggy scene before changing direction and becoming one of the original Britpop bands in the early 90`s. Since BLUR appeared to split up around 2003, Damon Albarn then went onto front both GORILLAZ (from 2001) and THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE QUEEN (2007), while his opera 'Monkey: Journey From The West' is currently running in London. On the reunion, he told the BBC "Blur are certainly going to rehearse and see if we're into it."
