THE DEAD 60s are set to release their new album "Time To Take Sides" (Deltasonic Records) on 13th August. The first single from the album, 'Stand Up', will have a digital release on 30th July, and will be in shops on 6th August which will coincide with a UK tour. They then tour France in September. You can also have a listen to selected songs from the band by going through AAPA`s MySpace

Image hosted by Photobucket.com - THE WOMBATS who have recently signed to 14th Floor Records released their single, 'Kill the Director', on June 25th. It was produced by the band with Steve Harris (Kaiser Chiefs/The Automatic) and mixed by Rich Costey (Muse). The single is released on 7" vinyl, CD and digitally, with exclusive tracks on all formats including remixes by Brazilian pop-punk-pioneers CSS and dance legend Paul Hartnoll. See also previous info (from November 2006) about this band from Liverpool in our NEW BANDS section.

After selling out his concert in Belgium on 20th September in rapid time, DAVID SYLVIAN - lead vocalist with Japan - is now set to play 3 concerts in Holland in October. Tickets go on sale this coming Saturday (30th June) for dates in Eindhoven (MC Frits Philips Hall), Amsterdam (RAI) & Groningen (Oosterport) - see our Benelux gig listings section for more info.

SIOUXSIE SIOUX who signed a new record deal with Universal imprint W14 Records last year will be releasing her debut solo album in September which will be preceded by the single 'Into a Swan' that according to the BBC is set for release on 27/08/07. And although there has been no official statement yet (as per 17th June) on the title of her debut album, we at AAPA believe it will be called "Mantaray". For those unfamiliar with W14 Records, it is part of the Universal Music Group, who's HQ just happens to be in the W14 area of London. Siouxsie Sioux has previously fronted both Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Creatures. More info can be found - > HERE

"Is Is" (Interscope/Polydor/Fontana) will be available on CD, double gatefold 7" vinyl, single track download and digital bundle in addition to a special USB stick. All formats will carry all 5 tracks, making this a special, non chart-eligible, release. The tracks were originally written back in 2004 and include the songs 'Rockers To Swallow', 'Isis' (without the space, note the difference to the EP title!) & 'Kiss Kiss'.

NEW SINGLE RELEASES: On 11th June we see the release of 'You're Out' the first single from the all-girl Leeds trio DEAD DISCO since they signed to 679 Recordings (Warners) - the song is a clash of electro-punk-pop and has a much heavier sound than their previous releases last year. Also out on the same date is a new single by HOT CLUB de PARIS with 'Clockwork Toy' featuring 'Call Me Al' as the b-side, and there's a white label remix 7" also out there which has a re-mix by Good Books, while on 18th June, THE ANSWERING MACHINE have a new single out - 'Silent Hotels' will be released as a limited edition on 7" vinyl. You can pre-order it by going through this link at: http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=282;2;-1;-1&sku=663637
